Please find links below for the texts of three presentations delivered on behalf of the Council of Arts Accrediting Associations (CAAA) to ICFAD at the October 2005 conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The papers address strategic issues associated with arts accreditation including its fundamental purposes, its various functions, and its current efforts to revise standards and encourage new approaches to accreditation reviews.
ICFAD encourages those unable to be present in Scottsdale to read these papers presented by Karen Wolff of the University of Michigan, Carole Brandt of Southern Methodist University, and Samuel Hope of the National Office for Arts Accreditation. Brandt is a fine arts dean and president of the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST). Wolff is a former fine arts dean and past president of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
